Dress For Success

Tips for making a great first impression on your interview.

Make sure you have clean hair, hands and nails. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on your hair. These days go to one of the inexpensive hair cutting salons and freshen up your look inexpensively.

Women always look their best in daywear business dresses or suits or a tailored skirt with a coordinated blouse or jacket. Men look stunning in dress pants, a business shirt and a tie. A topcoat or matching sport coat is optional. Be sure not to overdue it and look like you are on your way to a Cocktail party. That won’t give a good 1st impression. Business casual is very acceptable in most business offices these days, however, it is better to be dressed for success and get the job first then dress down once you’re sure of the dress code.

Business shoes of business-like style, polished and in good repair completes your look. Always wear hosiery and closed-toed shoes for style and safety reasons. Once you get the job, don’t get sloppy with your appearance. Keep up that polished, fresh look. Most companies these days have CasualFriday’s. That means you’ll get to wear your business casual attire. Go for it! You deserve it!
